intra-morocco
A travlers kaleidoscopic journey though seven years and ten trips that moves to the beats of a Morocco alive with contradictions. A gateway between past and present, self and collective, shadow and light.
He does his best to journey without prejudice or preconception. Coexisting contradiction is the condition of his immediate encounters: living deserts and dead oceans, muezzins and nightclub djs, paradise valleys and desolated peaks, the humid loudness of night and quiet heat of day, the madness of wealth and the wisdom of frugality, whorehouses and holy places, paths untraveled and roads walked for thousands of years, religious rituals and hedonistic escapes. Is life more intense here? Are contrasts more dramatic? Photographs record the experiences. Memory contests them.
Morocco welcomed him when he came, but will it release him when he goes?
